Machine washable is a must for me when I order slippers, and Dearfoams are always made well enough to withstand a few washings. These are very comfortable and sturdy, but the reason for only 4 stars is an irritating little thing with all Dearfoams that really could be fixed if they cared to. There is a logo tag sewn right into the fabric under the heal that is scratchy and irritating on the bare foot. Another tag is sewn on the inside of the side which is also scratchy but is easy to cut out with scissors. The tags at the heel require a seam ripper and a little precision to remove. DEARFOAMS, IF YOU'RE LISTENING, maybe try printing your logo onto the fabric at the heel instead of the annoying sewn-in tags.
