These slippers look beautiful and appear of high quality as with all the shoes I've had from the Fireside line. My family and I have purchased several styles over the years and found them all to be of excellent quality and durability.That said, these shoes, while comfortable, started out almost too wide for my not really narrow feet and now in less than 1 month have stretched out to the point they are becoming dangerous for me to wear. I purchased them to replace another brand's shearling slippers that had finally stretched out too much after nearly 3 years.Generally running around the house today doing some odd chores I have nearly fallen twice because the shoes are too loose. Luckily I'm light on my feet! And older, less spry person might have a problem.Another strange feature is that the wool on the insoles has already started to flatten out and show wear. Rather than the expected revealed sheepskin leather - you know that the wool grows out of - there is a strange white woven fabric. It does appear the insoles are lined with real wool so I'm not quite sure how they've achieved this, but it doesn't appear to be durable at all. I guess that explains why they are also a bit sweaty .All in all, they are pretty but I would not purchase them again and will probably have to give these away soon.
